Serving Residents and the Community
The goal of St. Camillus Place is to provide a home-like environment and encourage independent living for adults with developmental disabilities. Residents are involved in work settings and leisure activities outside the home, allowing interaction among all members of the community.

St. Camillus Place also serves as a community resource on mental retardation, providing education and information to interested individuals.

St. Camillus Place: With centrally located kitchen, dining and living areas, residents of St. Camillus Place live in a one-story, wheelchair-accessible facility. It is licensed by the state of Minnesota as an Intermediate Care, Class B facility for adults with developmental disabilities.

Qualified Staff and Consultants: Staff members and a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) are available to assist and guide residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

St. Camillus Place has convenient access to important support services, such as St. Gabriel’s Hospital, physicians, a dentist, pharmacy and social services.

Individualized Programs
Staff members and consultants construct developmental programs that help each resident achieve the skill necessary to live, work and spend leisure time as independently as possible.

During the week, residents particpate in habilitative, employment and retirement programs at Employment Enterprises, Inc., in Little Falls. At home, residents learn and share household responsibilities, such as meal preparation, laundry and cleaning. In all programs, emphasis is placed on designing activities to suit individual needs of residents.

Residents are encouraged to participate in activities in the community, including shopping, hair appointments, church or dining out. Picnics, sporting events, bowling and movies are some of the leisure activities enjoyed by residents.
